The MOD's Enhanced Learning Credits Scheme (ELC) is an initiative to promote lifelong learning amongst members of the Armed Forces. For further information on eligibility, please consult the Enhanced Learning Credits Administration Service website.
In the event that ELCAS approve an application to study a NEBOSH qualification, lists of NEBOSH Accredited Learning Partners by qualification and geographical area can be found in the ‘Where to Study’ section.
However, not all NEBOSH learning partners in the UK are also approved by ELCAS. Applicants will need to check that their chosen NEBOSH learning partners is also approved by the Enhanced Learning Credits Administration Service. Further information can be found on the ELCAS website.

England
- For learners in England aged 19 and over, Education & Skills Funding Agency (ESFA)
NB: Based on latest information available (as of June 2016), NEBOSH qualifications are not currently eligible for ESFA funding in England:
- The ESFA does not normally fund “qualifications which are linked to licence to practice or more generally intended to meet an employer’s statutory and/or legal responsibilities” (such as health and safety)
- The ESFA normally only funds qualifications recognised in the Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF). NEBOSH qualifications are recognised in the Scottish Credit and Qualifications Framework (SCQF).
