Wednesday, 27 January 2021
Health and safety practitioners will have even more opportunities for professional development in 2021 as NEBOSH has announced the launch of seven new qualifications for the early part of the year.
Leading the way will be a new, one-day wellbeing qualification in February. Titled NEBOSH Working with Wellbeing, this introductory course has been holistically developed to help employers support a person’s overall wellbeing.
Updated fire and construction certificates will follow. These popular qualifications have been refreshed to maintain their industry relevance and introduce greater practical application in the assessment.
NEBOSH’s flagship qualifications, the national and international Diplomas, will also be updated. Designed for senior professionals, the NEBOSH Diploma is an industry benchmark, and its update will maintain its industry relevance whilst supporting learners to develop the highest levels of competence. Testing will take place in the first quarter before its official launch later this year.
A long-standing relationship with Great Britain’s regulator, the Health and Safety Executive (HSE), will also continue in 2021 with an exciting new qualification to benefit any business, in any industry. The NEBOSH HSE Award in Managing Risks and Risk Assessment at Work is currently in development. This one-day qualification looks at practical steps to manage and control risks caused by workplace hazards.
NEBOSH Chief Executive, Chris Payne, said: “Amongst the external challenges of the pandemic in 2021, it promises to be an exciting year for NEBOSH. We hope that our proactive response and expertise will continue to help learner develop their skills and create safer workplaces across the world.
