NEBOSH has launched its latest book, the Quick Reference Guide to Managing Wellbeing, Stress and Mental Health in the Workplace.

To mark the start of International Happiness at Work Week, this new guide is designed to serve as a valuable resource for line managers, supervisors and anyone involved in health, safety and wellbeing management in the workplace.

The guide covers:
• organisational roles and responsibilities for managing wellbeing, work-related stress and mental health
• the six aspects of wellbeing, how they interact with each other and wellbeing interventions
• signs and causes of stress, management of stress and interventions for stress, symptoms and causes of mental ill-health and how to support affected workers.

Jane Ashby, NEBOSH HEAD (Content Development) said: "Managing mental health and wellbeing in the workplace is just as important for organisations to address as managing physical health and safety. This NEBOSH guide covers the six key aspects of wellbeing and explains what effective management of work-related stress and mental ill-health entails. Our pocket-sized guides are a great reference resource to support individuals needing a quick review of a topic in a simple format that can be easily skimmed through when necessary."

The NEBOSH Quick Reference Guide to Managing Wellbeing, Stress and Mental Health in the Workplace is available from 23 September in print (£10) and eBook (£8) from the NEBOSH online shop: https://shop.nebosh.org.uk/collections/reference-guides
