NEBOSH to start marking Certificate assessments in the assessment language
Tuesday, 4 June 2019
NEBOSH will soon start marking Certificate assessments in the assessment language, and as a result is looking for bilingual examiners.
As part of NEBOSH’s continual improvement of its processes, later in 2019 we hope to start marking Certificate assessments in the assessment language.
Our aim is to phase out the need for translations, saving time and reducing costs. Once this has been achieved we should be able to bring forward results issue dates in line with English language exams.
To help us achieve this we are looking for people who are fluent in one or more of the below languages to become Examiners:
- Arabic
- Turkish
- Chinese (Mandarin)
- Portuguese (European)
- Russian
- French
- Spanish (European)
If you, a colleague or a professional acquaintance would like to apply, please email a completed Examiner CV to [email protected] specifying the language(s) you are fluent in.
Existing Examiners are also eligible to apply and should return an updated CV to the email address above.
Becoming a NEBOSH Examiner can contribute towards your CPD and you’ll also gain valuable knowledge about examination techniques.
Please ensure that you meet the requirements below before you apply.
You will:
- Be fluent in your chosen language(s) and have a good standard of English; if your application is approved we will need evidence of your verbal and written proficiency
- Have appropriate subject knowledge
- Have access to a computer for the inputting of marks and future electronic marking
- Adhere to strict confidentiality agreements
If your application is successful you’ll be asked to attend a full-day New Examiner Training Workshop before you begin marking for us.
Please note, this is not a full time position. Work is on a casual basis and Examiners are paid a specific fee for each examination script marked, which varies depending on the qualification assessment unit.
If you have any queries before completing your application, please email [email protected]
