Tuesday, 17 December 2024
Dee Arp, NEBOSH’s Chief Quality Officer, will become the President of the International Network of Safety and Health Practitioner Organizations (INSHPO) in 2025. Building on the excellent work of the 2024 President, Nathan Winter, Dee will focus on advancing the future of the occupational safety and health (OSH) profession.
Dee's journey with INSHPO began in 2020 when she became NEBOSH’s representative and INSHPO’s Secretary-Treasurer; on 1 January 2023, she was elected Vice President. During her Presidential tenure, Dee will prioritise research to identify gaps in INSHPO membership and seek new partners to join the organisation with the ultimate goal of extending the reach of its impact globally.
With over 25 years of experience in occupational health and safety, Dee is a Chartered Safety and Health Practitioner of IOSH and a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Educational Assessors. Her role at NEBOSH involves leading the development and assessment of qualifications and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. Dee's academic credentials include a Certificate of Continuing Education from Cambridge University, and she is currently pursuing a Master's in Education.
Dee's commitment to the profession is evident in her mantra: "stronger together." She believes that the OSH community's collective strength and purpose save lives and keep people safe. Dee's leadership will undoubtedly inspire and drive the profession forward, continuing the legacy of her predecessors.
