RoSPA and NEBOSH announce the launch of the 2025 RoSPA Awards
Monday, 14 October 2024
The Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) has today announced the launch of its 2025 health and safety awards, with key safety leader NEBOSH by its side as headline sponsor.
The duo, who are dedicated to improving the health, safety and wellbeing of our communities, stand together and welcome applications from individuals, businesses and organisations that want to receive recognition for health and safety achievements, and to become part of a long legacy that values dedication to high safety standards.
The RoSPA Awards is the UK’s longest-running occupational health and safety awards programme, which started over 60 years ago in 1956. The charity has a long working relationship with industry stalwarts, NEBOSH, that was founded in 1979. Together, the duo has been at the forefront of improvements to global health and safety and has helped save thousands of lives.
The RoSPA Awards welcomes applications from organisations of all sizes, from SMEs to blue chip companies. While the Award’s main categories recognise health and safety excellence for organisations and their safety management systems, the Inspirational Awards also celebrate the achievements of individuals and teams. To further streamline the process, RoSPA has joined forces with CHAS, the UK’s leading health and safety accreditation scheme, to make it simpler for CHAS members to enter.
Entries are judged via a rigorous and impartial process by a wealth of highly experienced senior occupational health and safety professionals and consultants, and a main award judging panel chaired by Dee Arp, Chief Quality Officer at NEBOSH.
Rebecca Hickman, CEO at RoSPA, said:
“We are delighted to kick off the RoSPA 2025 Awards and honoured to have NEBOSH by our side as headline sponsor. Together, we have a long history of improving the health, safety and wellbeing of our communities and the Awards is the perfect way for us to stand together and make a difference.
“We look forward to reading about the health and safety innovations of organisations and individuals around the world.”
Andy Shenstone, Chief Executive, NEBOSH said:
“Aligned with our new strategy, we’re committed to advancing NEBOSH’s mission through social purpose initiatives that expand our charitable impact in the UK and globally. Collaborating with like-minded organisations is crucial to our success, and as a fellow charity, we’re honoured to support RoSPA’s vital work in preventing harm.”
